2017 – Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground – Apple Valley, MN

20170728_101219.jpg Lebanon Hills Regional Park campground is located just minutes from the Minnesota Zoo and just a short distance from I35E. This is a great campground with paved roads and level, gravel sites. There are three loops but only one with full hookups. This is a very popular campground and advance reservations for anything other than a short midweek stay are a must. If you want to stay over a summer weekend you probably need to book in March or April.

We enjoyed the campground and appreciated the short distances to everything from Mall of America to the Zoo (practically within walking distance) to other sightseeing attractions. We also appreciated how well kept the park is. We’ve been in lots of places that could take lessons from the staff at Lebanon Hills.

People traveling with children might want to pick the east loop rather than the full hookup west loop. However, only smaller campers are allowed on this loop. The east loop has electric only but has a very nice playground at its center. The north loop is dry camping and even the showers are a bit of a walk.

Our TV found many local channels and I had no problem getting the satellite signal. Our Verizon 4G signal was a usable 1-3 bars.

If you can plan ahead, this is a very good Minneapolis camping option.
