More Camper Upgades and some reviews

I posted our camper upgrades photo album a while back.  I’ve added a couple of more items that I’m especially pleased with.

2013-08-07 11.18.40.jpg One is the Wilson Sleek 4G cell signal booster.  One of the things we’ve learned is that park WiFi is almost always terrible or non-existent.  Even when you happen to have a decent WiFi connect it is to pitifully overloaded, slow internet.  If you want to have fairly reliable internet, you will need to go with some kind of cell based solution.  No matter which cell solution you use you’ll likely end up camping in less that optimal cell service areas.  The Wilson Sleek boosts the cell signal.  I’ve been impressed with it’s performance.  Many times I’ve put the phone in the Wilson Sleek cradle and watched the phone go from 1 bar of 3G to an useable signal of 3 or 4 bars.  Even better, I’ve seen it go from a fair 3G to a strong 4G signal.  I really like this product and use it a lot.

2013-08-07 11.04.06.jpg A recent upgrade is a cooling fan for our refrigerator.  On hot days we’ve had the refrigerator set as cold as it could go and it was barely keeping up.  I researched solutions and found folks recommending this product.  The price was right so I ordered it.  Installation was quick and simple and we could tell a difference almost immediately.  We’re now running the refrigerator one setting less than before and the temps are staying in the upper 30’s.  Also, because it attaches with a simple alligator clip to the fins on the inside it can be easily moved around.  We watch the fins and when one section starts to get some ice build up we move it to that area.  In a few hours the ice is gone.  Not only does this fan help the refrigerator cool, it’s also a defroster!  I recommend this inexpensive and effective refrigerator upgrade.
